Who's behind the Summit.

Edouard Eddy Chaltiel, Founder and Executive Director of The Sovereign Summit

Edouard "Eddy" Chaltiel

Founder + Executive Director

Eddy started his career in the family business, learning from his father as an associate at Redhills Ventures from 2008 to 2012. A few of the firm's notable investments included Health Data Insights (acquired for $400 million in 2011) and Adore Me (acquired by Victoria's Secret for $400 million in 2022). He went on to earn his MBA from USC's Marshall School of Business in 2014.

Towards the end of his time at USC, his father became ill and sadly passed away the summer after Eddy earned his diploma. In the wake of that loss, he put his conventional career path on hold and, with his cousin Zach, started his own small family business. Founded in 2015 and named in honor of his father, Victoire Ventures became the holding company through which he invests.

Bitcoin was one of his first positions, and by 2021 it had become his focus. He's convinced the defining forces of the next decade, AI, freedom, and energy, all converge on sound money (aka Bitcoin). He has since backed builders across the ecosystem, including Ego Death Capital, Stillmark, Lightning Labs, Onramp, Axiom, Epoch, Early Riders, and Trammell Venture Partners, among others. Outside Bitcoin, he was an early investor in PrizePicks before Allwyn acquired the company in a $1.6 billion deal in 2026. In 2024 and 2025, he also co-founded and ran Bitcoin is for Everyone, a grassroots nonprofit in Portland, Oregon that drew more than 250 attendees each year.

Now based in Miami Beach, Eddy co-founded Victoire Hospitality with his wife Julia. Through it, he is channeling that conviction into The Sovereign Summit, a premium two-day gathering built around that very convergence, and the event he always wanted to attend.
